How to get to Camiguin Island from Davao City

Camiguin Island is about 354km from Davao City. It offers a lot of tourist destinations that is worth to visit. From Falls, hot springs and cold springs, the Island itself is a haven for tourists.

If you want to know more about Camiguin Island, please Click here. We visit the place two times and would like to return for more. We also suggest that you need to visit it on a regular day if you are uncomfortable with crowd.

Buckle up and let us discuss how to get to Camiguin Island Step to step from Davao City:

First:
Take a bus from Davao City Overland Transport terminal and board a bus going to Cagayan de Oro City. The bus ride will take about 8 to 9 hours depending on the traffic. Fare would be P620. You would probably have to stay somewhere in Cagayan de Oro City as it is a whole day travel. There are a lot of cheap hotels and inns in CDO to stay for overnight. Consider checking Rich Manor Pension house at Corrales. That is where we usually stay for work.

Second:
If you are already in Cagayan de Oro City, proceed to Agora Terminal and board a bus going to Balingoan port. The travel would take up to 3 hours from CDO proper and fare would be P150. Then once you are already at Balingoan, just take a would going to the Balingoan Port. Don't get scammed by tricicle drivers, we were once victims as we didn't know that the port is only a walking distance.

Third:
Board the Boat going to Benoni Port of Camiguin Island. Fare is about P130 to P170 pesos. I'm not sure for now. The travel would take up to 1:30 to 2 hours.

Fourth:
You are already at Camiguin Island!!! Enjoy your trip.

Tips:
You can hire a motorcycle for P500.00 per day and allow you to use it for 24 hours and the gas is at your expense. If you travel by group, you can hire a multicab for P1,500 for 8 hours travel around Camiguin Island with a seating capacity of 12 to 16 persons. It's much cheaper.

If you have time please see our vlog about the Island:

How get to Dahican Beach from Davao City

I <3 Mati

Dahican beach is considered as the Surfing place in Davao Oriental. A lot of beach lovers, surfers and simple tourist visit the site to have a dip or swim the strong waves the beach offers.

It is not hard to reach the beach but you just have to be ready because it is a bit far from the city proper. I this post, we would like to share how everyone reach the beach from Davao City.

If you are interested, we have a previous post telling you how beautiful the beach is. Click here.

You can reach the place in a few easy steps:

First:
From Davao City, you have to board a bus or van. If you are interested in buses, you can go to Davao City Overland Transport terminal located at Ecoland, Davao City. Bus fare is around P220 and will take up to 4 to 5 hours. If you want to try a Van, there is a van terminal located at Gaisano Mall of Davao. But be prepared for a very rough and scary ride. We tried it and wont do it again. Fare can be lesser but we suggest, just go with the bus.

Second:
If you reach Mati Bus Terminal, you can hire a motorcycle to take you to Dahican Beach Directly. But of course, you will need a place to stay. We Strongly Recommend, Lane's Katulganan within City proper. Good for two person is less than a thousand. We paid only P800 the last time we visit. Or there are resorts within Dahican Beach but you have to be ready to pay up to P2000 per night.

Third:
Enjoy your stay and surf like a badass!
