Davao City : Malagos Garden Resort

Davao City is the largest city when it comes to land area in the Philippines. It is reach in nature, beaches, fruits and especially it's friendly people. Now, let's go somewhere, where the green grass, tall trees, different animals specially the birds dominates the area. It is called, Malagos Garden Resort.

Malagos Garden Resort is located at Malagos, Baguio District Davao City. Somewhere in Mintal. It's quite far from the center and maybe 20-30 kilometers away. But when you reach the area, you will be greeted by the nature. There is an entrance fee of P100.00 per person. Then they will handle you a map for you to serve as a guide.

There is a bird feeding period. I think it's around 10:00am in the morning. I'm not sure though for we reached the area around 11:00am. Malagos Garden Resort also hosts a bird show during every sunday at 10:30am. They also do it on week days depending on your request, but there will be a minimum pax requirement.

Malagos Garden Resorts also offers rooms for some who wants to stay overnight in the garden for as low as P350.00 per head for the Narra Cottages up to P4,000 for family deluxe room.

One of their attraction is the butterfly sanctuary. Where a lot of butterfly breeds and stays because of the environment. When you enter their sanctuary, you can see butterflies flying around the place

The place also have pool where you can swim and relax if you get tired of strolling around. But at the time of our visit, it was quite dirty and water seemed stagnant and can't be bath. Anyway, as we visit the area, they were under renovations for some improvements.

There are still a lot of things you can do while in Malagos Garden Resort. We were not able to explore all the activities they offer like Horse back riding, Kalesa Riding and other more. But we will definitely get back in the place to try them all.

The stunning photos and tranquil atmosphere make me curious if there's a hidden gem like this garden resort in Initao, Misamis Oriental. I'm always on the lookout for unique nature getaways. If anyone knows of a garden resort in Initao that offers a similar experience, please share the details! I'd be thrilled to check it out.
